Stephanie & Darren: Wedding 14th August 2009

couple-001

I LOVE days like Friday. We were with Stephanie & Darren for their wedding and we had such a blast. Steph & Darren have had a bit of a tough time this year, but all that seemed forgotten for their celebrations, and a happier wedding I really can’t remember photographing.

It all started off for me at Steph’s parents’ home for the girlie prep while Lou went to Weetwood Hall with the boys. Then we all met up at St. Paul’s Catholic church for the beautiful ceremony conducted by Steph’s family priest. Then it was back to Weetwood for much merriment and larks. Steph & Darren have a fantastic bunch of friends who helped make the day such a special one. It was a real gift to us to have such a great bunch of people to photograph – we didn’t once have to ask people to ‘smile!!’

Check out a few of the choicest pics below. Stephanie & Darren – you were fantastic to work with and we know that your future will be filled with happiness and lots of lurve.

Rhea & Chris: Wedding 2nd May 2009

rhchblog-011

Weetwood Hall was the location Lou & I found ourselves at this weekend for Rhea & Chris’s wedding. After all the great weather we had recently this looked like we might have ended up with a rather wet day, but I think all of Rhea’s friends had been doing all sorts of sun dances because again we were blessed with a fabulous day. The whole day was based at Weetwood with the girls getting ready at the top of the Manor House. I feel it is a real privilege to be aloud into the ‘inner sanctum’ when a bride is getting ready because it is a very special time just hours before her wedding. Chris and the boys got ready at their house where Lou met up with then before coming across to Weetwood.

The ceremony took place in the Weetwood Room with 50 of Rhea & Chris’s closest friends and family. Once over it was outside for champagne and a chance for us to to take the couple away for a while to do some great relaxed shots of them. After a couple of hours all the guests prepared to sit down for the wedding breakfast. The speeches came first which were really touching although it has to be said that Graham the Best Man produced some photographs of Chris which had the room crying with laughter, although I think Chris wouldn’t forgive me I posted them up on here!

Lou & I enjoyed this fun and happy day. Rhea & Chris are now off on a great honeymoon in Italy, a place close to our hearts, to enjoy some warmth and great food. We will see you guys when you get back.
