Laura & Johnny: Wedding 7th December 2008

So as promised here is the first of the 4 weddings we did in December. The weather at the start of December was cold and we had our first taste if snow. So much so I thought this was going to be our first truly ‘WHITE!’ wedding. As it was there was still some snow on the ground and we ended up having a really amazing bright cold crisp day.

Laura & Johnny were a fabulous couple and the whole day was set at Rudding Park which itself is a fabulous location. I spent the morning with the girls getting ready and Lou spent her time with the Johnny and the boys although Johnny needed a little help taking up his trousers / ironing shirt / doing up bow ties.

All part of the service Johnny :-)   Anyway he looked fab along with the rest of the guys all in their Black Ties.

The  star as always is the bride and Laura looked stunning – She really had an Audrey Hepburn look about her and her shoes were a fabulous pair of Christian Louboutin. I had to keep Lou away or she would have sneaked them way for herself.

After the ceremony in the Library and then the blessing in the chapel we just had enough light to do some couple shots outside. It was absolutely freezing and I have to say that Laura was a star putting up with the cold. If you look closely enough you can probably see goose pimples all down her arm. Anyway we were also blessed with a great winter sunset which really made for an amazing backdrop.

Then it was inside for some great food and wine and a great live band to dance the night way!

Laura & Johnny it was such great fun covering your wedding day and an honour to be part of it. We hope you enjoyed you honeymoon in South Africa and we will see you soon.

Welcome to 2009

Hi Guys,

Can I wish everyone a happy new year. I hope it will be a successful year for everyone and although there seems to be lots of doom and gloom around everywhere, we will try and  bring some inspiring images – some light hearted moments and some general loveliness!

We will also keep you updated with things that are happening to Phil Barber Photography – we have some exciting developments coming up – so watch this space.

We have all been a bit ill with the dreaded lurgy over the last few weeks so we haven’t posted very much. We are feeling much better now so over the next few days I will be posting up Decembers 4 weddings and catching up a little bit.

Meanwhile here are a couple of pictures of the kids we took over the holiday period.
