Andrea & Howard: Wedding 18th October 2008

Well it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged – October was very busy for us – so I’m playing catchup today and writing up 4 weddings we’ve done in the last few weeks.

First up was Howard and Andrea whose big day was 18th October. As always, before the ceremony Lou met up with Howard and his entourage and I spent the morning with Andrea and the girls. Andrea made a stunning bride, and Howard and the boys looked particularly dapper in their morning suits and top hats. Then we all got together at the gorgeous church in the beautiful village of Hampsthwaite near Harrogate. After a lovely ceremony everyone moved on to Goldsborough hall for the reception. A real highlight of the day was the wedding breakfast, where a joint of beef was brought to each table and an appointed guest had to carve – it made for some great moments and fantastic pictures!

Howard and Andrea were such a great couple to work with and we’d like to wish them both every happiness for their future together

Lindsey & Ian: Wedding 11th October 2008

Well, another day, another Ian. his time, though it was Ian and Lindsey (another Rachel would have been too confusing!) Both ceremony and reception were at Woodlands this time, and once again the weather was very kind. Looking back at the photos it’s like the summer we never had!

Lindsey had her preparations in the Penthouse at Woodlands – it’s always a pleasure to take photos up there. Lou, meanwhile, joined Ian and his best man at their home to capture some last minute details.

The theme of the day was black and white and the guests had certainly entered into the spirit of things, all of them looking particularly smart in their tuxes and finery. The theme was continued into the marquee where the wedding breakfast took place – all very stylish.

Lindsey & Ian, thank you again for inviting us to capture your day. It was such a pleasure.

Rachel & Ian: Wedding 10th October 2008

Last Friday we had the pleasure of covering Rachel & Ian’s wedding. Once again the sun was shining on a perfect autumn day. October has been very kind to us weather-wise. We’ve got three more weddings before the end of the month, so we’re crossing everything in the hope that it continues.

Anyway, Rachel & Ian were married at St. Paul’s church where we were a few weeks ago. It’s a great church to work in and we always manage to get some ace shots of the happy couple. A real treat during the ceremony was a beautiful performance by one of Rachel and Ian’s friends who is an opera singer. It was real shivers down the spine time, and I swore I saw Lou filling up at the back of the church (she’s a big softy though!)

Then it was back to Woodlands for the reception. It was great to see all the guests enjoying drinks and canapes on the terrace while we took Rachel and Ian away for some quiet time and to get some couple shots.

Rachel and Ian are sunning themselves on a tropical beach at the moment, but here are some pictures of their day.

Heather & Nick: Wedding 3rd October 2008

We were in a stunning part of the world last Friday for Heather & Nick’s wedding. The ceremony and reception all took place at the Inn at Whitewell in the beautiful trough of Bowland in north Lancashire. It’s in such a beautiful spot, and the weather was perfect (if a bit cold!) so we were able to take Heather and Nick out for some pictures – it would have been a shame to waste the gorgeous scenery!

Heather and Nick, you were great to work with, and it was such a fun day. We wish you every happiness for your future together!

Wedding Fair tomorrow!!

Just a quick reminder to let you all know that we’re at the Hazlewood Castle wedding fair tomorrow from 11 till 4pm. Hazlewood is a fantastic venue – we’ve been a few times this year and we always love working there.

We’ve just had some new brochures produced and have a gorgeous new sample album so we’re very excited about showing them off.

If you’re in the area and planning a wedding come along and have a chat – we love meeting new people.
