Barber Photography

Well I’m back home in Leeds now after spending a great weekend down in London. As promised here are a few teaser shots from the pre-wedding shoot I did with Mel & Sam on Saturday. The weather was fab. It was like someone had found the switch for the hot weather and turned it on for the day. Unfortunately it seems to have been switched off again!  I had a great day with Mel and Sam starting off at Richmond park which seemed to be swamped with cyclists in blue vests. We found a quiet spot to get the guys used to the cameras before we headed off to the Southbank to do some shots around Tate Modern. Sam I think was a little nervous doing the shots around lots of people but he was great. Sam also had other things on his mind in the afternoon as he is an avid Stoke City supporter. It look almost certain that they were going to get promoted on Saturday until a little Yorkshire team called Hull decide to spoil the party by winning as well. Never mind Sam! You only need a point against Leicester next Sunday. You can have a glass of champagne then to celebrate. Anyway guys thank you for your company on Saturday and I hope you like these few shots. Today I find myself back in my old home town of London for the second time in a month. Last time was for some family R&R and showing the kids all the tourist sites. 

This time I’m down here to do a pre-wedding shoot with our clients Melanie & Sam. This is going to be great fun to go to some areas that I haven’t shot before. Also as I sit here eating my breakfast and look out of the window – the weather is FANTASTIC. Today is going to be the warmest day of the year so far. Blue skies and temperatures up into the 20′s ( 70′s in old money!). Positively a heat-wave for us. 

Also today is a chance for me to try out a couple of new toys we got last week. 15mm Fisheye and 85mm 1.2L lenses. I will post more about these later and let you know what I think. Also on Monday I will post some images from today.

Enjoy the weekend and in great British tradition go and burn some sausages on the BBQ!

Well here we are in the middle of April and it feels like WINTER! I have to say that it has felt like the coldest weekend in a long time. I did a pre-wedding shoot with a great couple, Vicki & Dan, on Saturday and I have to say that they were real troopers. The rain stayed off, but the wind was howling and it felt as if it was blowing in direct from Siberia! I was OK behind the camera as I could wear plenty of layers, but poor Vicki and Dan were a bit more exposed! We warmed up over a drink afterwards, though.

Vicki and Dan are getting married in July, by which time (fingers crossed) the arctic weather should be a distant memory.
